Hello after long brake. I have new and fresh version of ReCube Light which probably is especially interesting for Ekocycle users.

Thanks to Ari for support during testing 😉 He found also that in my PCB design there is one error which could lead to wrong reading of memory space. According to his suggestion for 1-wire pull-up-ing better is 2.2k ohm resistor than designed 4.7k one.
I am working also on ReCube for Cube Pro if anyone is interested please contact me. The problem is that memory structure of ReCube Pro differs than Cube 3 and Ekocycle, so it need special testing sessions.

Count me in had the cubepro hack at firmware V2.01 but since upgrade to 2.02 unable to use so very interested in your progress.
One question assuming you can reprogram a cubepro cartridge, will you be looking to rewind new filament into their cartridge or bypass the cartridges and feed in separately?
I have only Cube 3 so in my case I feed filament separately. I have sent test Cube Pro version to few persons but I have no feedback until now. I need to check first cartridge memory layout, secure key I already have.
As a complete newbie and little skill in electronics I would need an idiots guide and simple use to use if possible:)
So first buy some Arduino nano, prototyping board and 2.2 k resistor I will describe you how to connect all together.
tomuro I would very much like to put this together for myself where can I get the source code or software and a list of the parts. I got my Cube 3 printer from a friend and would like to keep and use it. With the cost of the cartridges. Anyway I would gladly contribute to the project.

Hi, I have a Cube 3rd gen and a EKOcycle cube printer and I have hacked the firmware of the Cube but I can’t figure out how to hack the Ekocycle’s firmware. I would like to build your flasher. I have an Aduino nona and I dowloaded your software (code) but I don’t know how to put it all together. I also need to know what pins are used to program the cartridge and if it matters if it’s the long or the short connection on the cartridge. I would really appreciate your help. If all works I will donate.

In package there is a batch file which have to be called from command line and it will trigger avrudude app to program arduino nano via usb connection. Regarding pins you need to create some output with resistor like on ReCube_schematic_V2.JPG picture: 2,2 kohm resistor between +5V and A0 pin and A0 pin shall be connected to short pin on memory and long pin to GND. All commands can be send via uart console.

Tomuro tested the light version with the 2.2k resistor and it works 100% I am very happy to have recovered my cartridges to 100%. Ekocycle version.
a question will it be possible to change the cube3 cartridge to the Ekocycle cartridge. I have some cube cartridges and would like to use them in Ekocycle.
Another question is how do I get the pro version programming material type.

Sorry that I am answering so late but I have a lot of work lately. Generally last time I have implemented such possibility in Pro version (to change Ekocycle cartridge to Cube3 and back).
I built this on a breadboard using the schematic and it works great! Now, if I could just get a link to the comments about where someone could update the ekocycle to use the cube3 firmware.
